Why plant trees?
Mitigating climate change
Trees and oceans are the main Co2 sinks on the planet, by planting forests we contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases.
Oxygen production
Trees are the main source of oxygen production, they also purify the air, prevent erosion and
provide fertile soils.
Biodiversity protection
Forests sustain wildlife, without them it would be impossible to imagine the world as we know it.
Some interesting figures
One hectare of trees processes 11 tonnes of Co2 per year.
For every tonne of CO2 absorbed by a tree, 0.73 tonnes of oxygen are released.
Each individual produces approximately 510 kg of Co2 per year.
Each person consumes 430 mtrs3 of oxygen per year.

What is the - Chururú Project -
Our forestry development in the Venezuelan Andean foothills.
The Chururú Project is an initiative oriented to create the first forestry axis in which national and international wills will join to revert the effect of the ecological degradation that for years the traditional agriculture and extensive cattle ranching exerted on this fragile geographic zone.
